Okrugli stol Dani prava Evropske unije 2 na temu: Obaveze Bosne i Hercegovine na putu k Evropskoj uniji
On July 8, 2019, the European Union Law Days Round Table 2 was successfully held at the Faculty of Law in the mock trial room on the topic: Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the way to the European Union. This meeting was organized by the Faculty of Law as one of the planned activities in within the framework of the Erasmus + EU project "Strengthening the EU Legal Studies in SEE", in which the Faculty participates as a member of the Network of Law Faculties of Southeast Europe (SEELS). In accordance with the project, the Faculty very successfully organized and held the EU Law Days Conference in March of this year -a 1 (EU Law Days 1).The goal of this, as well as the March meeting, was to promote the study of EU law at law faculties, discuss current topics from the European integration of BiH and present the latest issues of the SEE Law Journal.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants were addressed with welcoming speeches by prof. Ph.D. Alena Huseinbegović, dean of the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, then Prof. Dr. Rebeka Kotlo, vice-rector for science and scientific research work of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, and Ajla Ablaković, expert advisor in the Department of Agriculture and Environment , Directorate for European Integration.
After the welcoming speeches, prof. Ph.D. Maja Čolaković, member of the SLJ Editorial Board, presented the SEELS Network and the SEE Law Journal (SLJ).
Then presentations were held by prof. Ph.D. Azre Hadžiahmetović, on the topic: The Berlin process and the enlargement of the European Union; prof. Ph.D. Edin Rizvanović, on the topic: Significance and implications of the Commission's Opinion on Bosnia and Herzegovina's request for membership in the European Union, and Nejra Hiroš, expert advisor in the Sector for harmonization of the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the acquis of the European Union, Directorate for European Integration, on the topic : Negotiation chapters 23 and 24 in the process of accession to the European Union, a cross-section of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The presentation was followed by a discussion among the participants on various current issues related to the presented topics.
