On Thursday, June 20, 2019. The third international scientific conference "Legal and economic aspects of the process of integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union" was opened. The organizers of this important scientific conference are three higher education institutions, the Faculty of Economics and Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica.

On the first day, 20.6.2019. The conference was held in the Center for Culture in Mostar and was officially opened by prof. Ph.D. Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On this occasion, Mr. Zvizdić held a plenary presentation on the topic "Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of EU integration". Among other things, Dr. Zvizdić emphasized that European integration is the most important foreign policy priority of BiH, "which has no alternative", together with the NATO integration of BiH, as another important integrative process. In the opening address, the attendees were addressed by prof. Ph.D. Alena Huseinbegović, dean of the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and president of the Organizational Committee of the Conference; prof. Ph.D. Elvir Zlomušica, rector of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar; Sanela Kuko, expert advisor for higher education at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Croatian National Academy of Sciences, Selma Dazdarević-Jašarević, expert advisor at the Directorate for European Integration, Prof. Dr. Azra Bajramović, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar.

On the first day of the Conference, the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union was discussed, and a special contribution to the Conference was made by the presenters, prof. Ph.D. Edin Rizvanović, who spoke on the topic "Stabilization and Association Agreement - the basis and framework for the integration process" and assistant professor Dr. Elmir Babović, whose topic was "The combination of IT and business in the development of information systems - Problems in understanding the relationship between IT and business and the competitiveness of Bosnian IT companies on the global market". At the very end of the first day of the Conference, a panel discussion was held on the topic "Competitiveness of the Bosnian economy in the context of integration processes". Bijedić" in Mostar; while the participants were prof. Ph.D. Azra Hadžiahmetović, Faculty of Economics, Sarajevo; Mirsad Jašarspahić, vice president of the FBiH Chamber of Commerce; Tatjana Vučić, executive director of BIT Alliance; Sanel Halilbegović, financial analyst; prof. Ph.D. Adil Trgo, Faculty of Economics, University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and assistant professor Dr. Elmir Babović, Faculty of Information Technologies, University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar.

The second day of the Conference was held on Friday, June 21, 2019. in the premises of the Faculty of Economics of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, where numerous scientific and research papers devoted to various aspects of the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the EU and the experiences of other countries, whose authors were not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also from other countries, were presented within several sessions. The conference was attended by a large number of dignitaries from the academic, public, political and social communities, as well as other interested members of the public.
