5th international gathering Days of Family Law

Organized by the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), on Friday and Saturday, March 31 and April 1, 2017, the 5th International Scientific Conference was held in the Hall of the Old Town Hotel in Mostar. Family Law Days gathering entitled "Echoes of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights in national family rights".
The gathering was opened by Prof. dr. Elvir Zlomužica, vice-rector for science and scientific-research work of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegović, dean of the Faculty of Law, and wished successful work to all participants.
The works were presented by teachers and associates on subjects in the field of family law and related disciplines of law faculties of state universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, law faculties of universities in Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Rijeka and Zagreb, and judges of municipal courts and expert associates of centers for social welfare also participated in the work. work.
The topics of the report included the influence of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on various issues in the field of family law, including relations between relatives, same-sex unions, separation of children from their parents, corporal punishment of children, termination of pregnancy, domestic violence, adoption, the problem of missing people a baby in Serbia, the impact on Croatian family legislation, the position of transsexual persons, surrogate motherhood, violation of the right to a trial within a reasonable time, and the social function of ECtHR judgments.
