Under the auspices of Civil Rights Defenders, a prestigious global non-governmental organization for the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms, the 5th consecutive Futura Moot Court competition in trial simulation was held at the Court of Appeal in Kragujevac from July 22 to 24, 2016. knowledge of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights.

The students of the Faculty of Law gathered in the court simulation club "Džemal Bijedić" under the guidance of academic coaches achieved notable success in their already traditional participation in this prestigious competition. Out of a total of six teams representing law faculties from the region, our team won first place for the best written submission of the appellants, with praise from the evaluation team and experts who made up the judicial panel for an excellently explained submission and convincing argumentation supported by the rich practice of the European Court. It is worth noting that our team took second place overall in the category of written submissions.

The "Džemal Bijedić" club this year consisted of students Edita Hujdur, Nihad Šemić, Ajla Zelić, Amil Brković, Selma Selimić, Ishak Isaković, alumni students Mirna Avdić and Samra Isić, and academic trainers Dr. Denis Pajić, Dr. Maja Čolaković and M.Sc. Šejla Maslo Cerkić.

In the period from December 5 to 7, 2014, a regional competition in the field of media law was held in Belgrade. The PRICE MEDIA LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION was primarily established within the University of Oxford, but although it started as just the final rounds at Oxford, it now includes regional rounds in South Asia, Asia-Pacific , Southeastern Europe, America, and the Middle East.

Seven teams from different countries of the region participated in the competition, and one of them was a team from the Faculty of Law, University "Džemal Bijedić" from Mostar. The competition was very even, so even six teams (out of seven) had one victory each, and therefore everything was determined based on the number of points collected, not victories. Although our team did not make it to the finals of the mentioned competition, the impressions are more than positive. The Faculty of Law, "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar, was represented by students Medina Rahimić, Selma Dumpor, Darko Defterdarević and Damir Defterdarević.

The Association of Students of the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the Moot Court project, organized the Second State Trial Simulation Competition in the field of criminal law. The competition was held on October 16 and 17, 2014. in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
The competition was attended by the best students from the state law faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of criminal law and criminal procedural law, as well as the protection of basic human rights.
The Moot Court project and the trial simulation competition itself were many benefits for the students. Competitors were able to improve their skills through the practical application of acquired knowledge, which was reflected in analysis, research, preparation of legal arguments and improvement of their rhetorical skills. At the same time, it was an excellent opportunity for them to make contacts with international and domestic judges of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to exchange opinions and knowledge with colleagues from other law faculties from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Students: Aldijana Droce, Merima Isić, Ehlimana Turković, Lejla Halebić, Kenita Kero and Mirna Šunje made up the team of the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, which won fourth place in this competition.

In April 2013, students of the Faculty of Law participated for the second time in a row in the Regional Competition in the simulation of a trial before the European Court of Human Rights held in Ljubljana. The aim of this competition is to educate and train law students from the region about the European Charter of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
