Sample law office

Guided by the positive experiences of European law faculties, the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar aims to introduce clinical legal education as a form of practical training for students with this project.

Clinical legal education can have a positive impact on the quality of education at law schools. By solving real problems of real people and learning professional skills under the supervision of those who are additionally qualified for it, students get the opportunity to become fundamentally interested in law and to complete their studies with better knowledge and more satisfaction.

Many law graduates have the opportunity to acquire such knowledge later on themselves, during their practice, however, the path of such education is inevitably partial, is carried out sporadically and is left to the individual abilities and ambitions of each individual.

On the other hand, by trying to solve the cases they deal with themselves, instead of just memorizing general legal norms and the most important legal principles, students develop the ability of analytical and critical thinking, which is extremely important for the performance of their profession.

Training at the Model Law Office allows students to learn to take responsibility for matters of great importance to their clients, taking into account not only general legal sources but also values that are of utmost importance for an effective legal system, such as the rule of law. , justice, honesty and high ethical standards.

All of the above determines the basic task of this project, which is to provide students of the Faculty of Law with practical education in order to better prepare for work after their studies, while increasing their social awareness and social responsibility.

The Faculty of Law promotes the most up-to-date methods of education in the field of higher education with the project "Exhibition of Law Office".

The project is co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science.
