"Legal counseling center - Center for free legal assistance at the Center for Human Rights in Mostar" ("live clinics"), within which students and newly graduated lawyers from both Faculties of Law in Mostar, as participants in legal clinics (a project implemented by the Center for Human Rights of Law in Mostar in cooperation with the Faculties of Law in Mostar and under the sponsorship of the Open Society Fund of Bosnia and Herzegovina), under the mentorship, with the help and consent of professors with experience in the clinical education of lawyers, as well as legal practitioners, provide free legal assistance to socially vulnerable categories of the population. The project is implemented as an extension of the project of the Center for Human Rights in Mostar "Clinical training of lawyers for students of the Faculty of Law of the University of "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and the Faculty of Law of the University of Mostar", sponsored by the Open Society Fund Bosnia and Herzegovina - Soros Foundation, which was implemented in cooperation with the Faculties of Law since 2003, and aims to make a significant contribution to the modernization and improvement of the quality of education of future lawyers by eliminating the perceived weaknesses of the curriculum, which are primarily related to the neglect of the practical education of law students for their future career and professional engagement , and train students for their work in practice, which is achieved through an adequately selected work methodology and the realization of the idea of clinical education of students - future lawyers. The emphasis of the project is for students to acquire and apply practical legal knowledge and skills through the teaching process of human rights legal clinics, criminal procedural law, civil procedural law, administrative/administrative procedural law, and labor and social law: workshops, academic discussions and round tables , study visits, and legal practice and counseling with the participation of academic mentors and legal practitioners from BiH and the region, as well as experts from international organizations.
