European Union standards for accreditation of study programs at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The undergraduate four-year study program (I cycle of legal studies) of the Faculty was a participant in the Tempus pilot project - accreditation, which was implemented in the period 2011-2012. year by the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The main goal of the project refers to the introduction of European standards in the process of evaluation and accreditation of study programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. universities, which represents a key step in the further implementation of the Bologna process in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The tasks of the Working Group within the project activities were as follows
  1. Preparation of the methodology of work on the self-evaluation report, including the plan, program and schedule of activities for specific tasks,
  2. Coordination of all project activities,
  3. Analysis of the relevant legal framework,
  4. Identifying and analyzing the situation,
  5. Collection of data required for the self-evaluation of the study program, in accordance with the adopted criteria
  6. Researching the academic experiences of students, teaching and administrative staff,
  7. Analysis of data and questionnaires,
  8. Analysis of the results of the entire research, self-analysis - interpretation of the results,
  9. Completing self-evaluation questionnaires for the report,
  10. Reporting to the Teaching and Research Council of the Faculty on each part of the self-evaluation report,
  11. SWOT analysis - analysis of the situation and development possibilities,
  12. Identification and definition of development goals,
  13. Creation of development plans according to the proposed form and
  14. Creation of a self-evaluation report for external evaluation.

Based on the analysis of the Self-Evaluation Report and the expert's visit to the Faculty of Law, the study program received a positive evaluation, which represents an extremely important step for the process of official accreditation that lies ahead for all study programs. The undergraduate study program (I cycle) of our Faculty was the only law study program that participated in this project in BiH, which gives it a significant advantage over other law faculties in the country, when it comes to the experience of self-evaluation and external evaluation of the program.
