The project of the Center for Human Rights in Mostar "Access to justice in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton - free legal aid", funded by USAID JSDP II (September 2010 - May 2011) focuses on the area of providing free legal aid, namely: the existing legal framework , provision of abstract and concrete legal assistance services to those seeking legal assistance, education and information of both providers and recipients of legal assistance, target 33 groups, law students and the public, as well as members of the Justice Network in BiH, if necessary, analysis and research of the relevant legal framework and methodology and content of work, especially on the most frequent legal problems, as well as the mutual relations of key actors: the judiciary (Municipal and Cantonal Court in Mostar), the NGO sector, especially the Center for Human Rights in Mostar, the academic community (two Faculties of Law in Mostar, teaching staff, students and newly graduated lawyers), law office (FBiH Bar Association - Regional Bar Association - HNK), Ministry of Justice, Administration and Lok local self-governments of the HNK, the Government of the HNK, the Assembly of the HNK, advocacy and lobbying for the adoption and/or improvement of legal acts (laws) and practices to improve the situation in this area, preparation and publication of the final summary report of all the key actors in the HNK with practical and compelling recommendations for the improvement of the situation in the area of access to justice - free legal aid in the HNK.
In this way, the direct connection of academic staff with relevant experts from practice is ensured, as well as insight into the needs of training students - future law graduates for the labor market.
